About Us

Todd Clark, the owner and restoration expert at Clark Vintage Lighting holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in jewelry and metalsmithing from the Oregon College of Art and Craft, Portland, Oregon. After returning to the east coast in 2003, he joined Remains Lighting, a high-end restoration lighting source in New York City. At Remains, Todd worked with five other restoration experts who came from a variety of restoration backgrounds. While there he had the privilege and responsibility of working on $2,000 wall sconces and often worked on $20,000 to $30,000 fixtures. After moving to the Berkshires in 2007, Todd joined PW Vintage Lighting in Great Barrington, MA, where he worked with two skilled lighting restoration experts. His ten years at PW Vintage Lighting greatly enriched his historical information and knowledge and further enhanced his restoration skills.

At Clark Vintage Lighting we specialize in the restoration and sales of antique, vintage domestic lighting, and vintage industrial lighting. In addition, Clark Vintage Lighting also sells a line of custom reproduction lighting designed for the shop. In addition, Clark Vintage offers services for the restoration and repair of customer lighting. This may range from the simple replacement of a plug or socket on a table lamp to the complete disassembly, stripping, patination, and rewiring of a large chandelier. Todd Clark has also had the pleasure of working on lighting projects for the movie and television industry. He made 14 large reproduction lights for the movie, “Night at the Museum 3”. He designed and oversaw the production of a large two-level reproduction gas/electric light and two library lights used in the operating theater in the TV show, “The Nick”. In addition, Todd made many of the lights used in the movie, “The Finest Hours.” “The Greatest Showman” is using 6 gas ceiling lights that Todd reproduced from an antique light sent by the decorator, and 6 gas table lamps he designed from photos also sent by the decorator. Todd’s education in metals and 12 years of experience working within the various facets of restoration and custom reproduction lighting design make him uniquely qualified to work on the full range of lighting projects.
